Abstract
Abstract Trans-8-trans-10-dodecadien-1-0l has been synthesized and found to be a sex attractant for males of the species Laspeyresia pomonella. (codling moth), a major pest of the apple. A method of preparing trans-8-trans-10-dodecadien-1-0l and a method of utilizing said compound as attracting agent are disclosed.
