Abstract

Abstract Hydrocarbon feedstocks are hydrodenitrogenated with a chrysotile catalyst combined with a hydrogenation component selected from Group VIB Group VIIB and Group VIII metals. Representative of these metals are cobalt, nickel, molybdenum, tungsten and mixtures thereof. The chrysotile may be in the physical form of tubes with surface area of 55-250 m2/g or in the form of flakes with surface area of 250-500 m2/g.
