Abstract
Abstract Nylon cord for tire manufacture is made by hot-stretching the drawn cord under substantially unvarying tension while passing it through a heating zone maintained at between the melting point and twenty degrees below for a period up to about thirty seconds. The resulting cord has superior modulus and low heat contraction while retaining high tensile strength.
