Abstract
Abstract An RF directional coupler comprising an element for insertion into an RF transmission line, or at the transmitter output, with suitable means of extracting a small amount of power into two circuits so as to separate forward moving waves from reflected waves: forward wave (proportional to output power) circuit and reflected wave (proportional to power loss) circuit comprised of suitable distributed capacitance, distributed inductance, terminating resistors, light emitting solid state diodes and harmonic filter.
