Abstract The adhesion of rubber to metal (e.g., wire tire cord) is improved by incorporating a halogenated quinone (e.g., chloranil) and a resorcinol-aldehyde condensate (e.g., condensation product of resorcinol and acetaldehyde) into the rubber.
