Abstract
Abstract A process is described whereby carbonic acid esters, i.e., alkyl, aryl and cycloalkyl carbonates, are prepared by reacting an alcohol with oxygen and carbon monoxide in the presence of a catalyst selected from copper complexed with an organic molecule.
