A three-dimensional reinforcing structure comprising a plurality of superimposed layers of helical coils of filaments, the coils all having substantially the same diameter and pitch and parallel axes lying on a network of polygonal mesh, each coil of one coil layer being interthreaded with the adjacent coils of the same layer and with the adjacent coils of the adjacent layers.
