Abstract
Abstract A catalyst prepared by applying to at least one oxide of transition metals coming within the 4th Period of the Periodic Table, a small amount of at least one metal belonging to Group 8 or Group 1B, and to the 5th Period or 6th Period of the Periodic Table. The catalyst is effective in converting carbon monoxide and hydrocarbons contained in exhaust gases into harmless components.
