Abstract

Abstract An over-current detector monitors the current delivered by each section of a multi-section switching regulator and provides a signal for disabling the switching regulator when the current in any one of the sections exceeds a threshold value. The threshold value is adjustable so that the multi-section switching regulator can be used to safely deliver a wide range of values of current.
