Abstract

Abstract A flash device for use in a photographic camera having a filter which is movable between a rest position at which the filter is retracted from the light path of light rays coming from the flash device, and an operational position at which the light rays pass through the filter. When the filter is in its rest position, it is housed within a casing of the flash device located on a guide plate provided along one side wall of the casing, the casing having a front opening for passing rays of light issued from the flash device. In the use of the filter, it is pulled slidingly toward the front along the guide plate to a position outside the casing and then moved to its operational position at which the filter covers the entire opening of the casing.
