Abstract
Abstract Pyrazole azo dyestuffs of the formula: WHEREIN D is an optionally substituted phenyl group, X1 is -OH or -NH2, X is an oxygen atom or an optionally substituted, nitrogen atom R is hydrogen, alkyl, or aryl, R2 is aryl, and WHEREIN THE PRYAZOLE RING MAY BE OPTIONALLY SUBSTITUTED IN THE 3-POSITION. The dyestuffs of this invention are free of sulfonic acid groups and are sparingly soluble or insoluble in water. The dyestuffs are especially useful for dyeing and printing synthetic fibers particularly polyester fibers in fast yellow shades with excellent fastness to light, and to sublimation.
