Abstract

Abstract An extrusion nozzle having a minimum volume cavity at one end of the outlet orifice supply passage and a minimal lip area defined by an externally tapered nozzle extremity adjacent the orifice. The combination of the minimum volume cavity and the minimal lip area of the nozzle reduces the phenomenon of extruded compound material dripping from or building up on the outlet end of the nozzle.
