Abstract
Abstract A method for removing paint from a metal surface wherein a mixture of a highly volatile chemical solvent and an abrasive (such as sand) is sprayed onto the metal surface (such as an automobile) at an oblique angle. The abrasive removes the paint without chipping and roughs up the surface while the chemical solvent removes film and dirt thereby enabling the surface to receive a new coat of paint.
