Abstract
Abstract A muffle furnace is disclosed which includes an elongated furnace having an elongated chamber or muffle contained therein with the muffle constructed of upper and lower segments connected at their sides to an elongated support which in turn is supported within the furnace by vertical supports spaced along its length. The upper and lower segments of the muffle are catenary-shape in cross section.
