Claims Analysis

Total Claims: 12
Claim 1
Independent Claim 66 words
A method of preventing wall collapse of a plastic container or bubble development in or around contents packaged in such container which comprises sealing the neck of such a container with a 1-10 mil film of a plastic which is substantially vapor impermeable, flexible, deflects at at least 1 lb./in.2 pressure and stretches without rupturing as it deflects and placing a breathable closure over said seal.
Claim 2
Independent Claim 66 words
A method of preventing wall collapse of a plastic container or bubble development in or around contents packaged in such container which comprises sealing the neck of such a container with a 1-10 mil film of a plastic which is substantially vapor impermeable, flexible, deflects at at least 1 lb./in.2 pressure and stretches without rupturing as it deflects and placing a breathable closure over said seal.
Claim 3
Dependent Claim 34 words
A method according to claim 1 wherein said container is composed of a blend of (1) a terpolymer of methyl methacrylate, styrene and acrylonitrile and (2) polybutadiene grafted with methyl methacrylate, styrene and acrylonitrile.
Claim 4
Dependent Claim 15 words
A method according to claim 1 wherein said film is heat sealed to said container.
Claim 5
Dependent Claim 15 words
A method according to claim 1 wherein said film is adhesion sealed to said container.
Claim 6
Dependent Claim 15 words
A method according to claim 1 wherein said film is a polymer or vinyl chloride.
Claim 7
Dependent Claim 19 words
A method according to claim 1 wherein said film is polyvinylidene chloride having polyethylene coated on each side thereof.
Claim 8
Dependent Claim 43 words
A plastic container having a neck sealed with a 1-10 mil film of a plastic which is flexible, deflects at at least 1 lb./in.2 pressure, is substantially vapor impermeable and stretches without rupturing as it deflects and a breathable closure over said seal.
Claim 9
Dependent Claim 43 words
A plastic container having a neck sealed with a 1-10 mil film of a plastic which is flexible, deflects at at least 1 lb./in.2 pressure, is substantially vapor impermeable and stretches without rupturing as it deflects and a breathable closure over said seal.
Claim 10
Dependent Claim 34 words
A container according to claim 7 wherein said container is produced from a blend of (1) a terpolymer of methyl methacrylate, styrene and acrylonitrile and (2) polybutadiene grafted with methyl methacrylate, styrene and acrylonitrile.
Claim 11
Dependent Claim 15 words
A container according to claim 7 wherein said film is a polymer of vinyl chloride.
Claim 12
Dependent Claim 19 words
A container according to claim 7 wherein said film is polyvinylidene chloride having polyethylene coated on each side thereof.
