Abstract THE PREPARATION OF 6-SUBSTITUTED OXO, THIO OR AMINO3-NITROIMIDAZO (1,2-B)PYRIDAZINES WHICH MAY HAVE A SUBSTITUTEBT IN THE 2-POSITION ARE DESCRIBED. ONE METHOD IS THE NITRATION IN THE 3-POSITION OOF THE SUBSTITUTED IMIDAZO (1,2-B)PYRIDAZINE TO GIVE THE DESIRED PRODUCT. OTHER METHODS ARE DESCRIBED. THE COMPOUNDS ARE USEFUL FOR THEIR ANTI-PROTOZOAL ACTIVITY PARTICULARLY AS ANTI-AMEBIC AND ANTI-TRICHOMONAL AGENTS.
