Abstract IN FORMING A COATING OF ACRYLONITRILE-BUTADIENE-STYRENE (ABS) RESIN ON A PHOSPHATED STEEL SURFACE, A PRIMER OF AN ABS RESIN IS FIRST APPLIED TO THE STEEL IN THE FORM OF A SOLUTION. AFTER EVAPORATING THE SOLVENT FOM THE PRIMER SOLUTION, AND FUSING THE SOLID PRIMER TO THE METAL, SHEET ABS RESIN IS APPLIED AND MOLDED BY HEAT AND PRESSURE TO THE PRIMED STEEL SURFACE.
