Abstract
Abstract Halogen-containing hydrocarbons are formed by treating certain condensation products with a protolytic agent. The condensation products are halogen-containing materials produced by halogenating the product resulting from the condensation of a primary or secondary amine, an aliphatic acid phosphite and an alpha-beta or beta-gamma unsaturated carbonyl source. The halogen-containing hydrocarbons are useful as fumigants with the volatile ones being especially useful as soil fumigants.
