Abstract
Abstract Film forming flame resistant chlorinated polyimide ethers are provided, and a method for making them. Reaction can be effected between a dihydric phenol and dichloromaleimide or tetrachlorobismaleimide in the presence of base. Selfcondensation of dichloroimidophenols also provide valuable flame resistant polymers.
