Abstract MATERIALS HAVING AN EMBOSSED SURFACE ARE FORMED BY PRINTING A LAYER CONTAINING A THERMOPLASTIC POLYMER, A BLOWING AGENT AND A TIN COMPOUND, WITH A PRINTING INK CONTAINING AN ACTIVATOR FOR THE BLOWING AGENT, AND HEATING THE LAYER TO CAUSE THE BLOWING AGENT IN THE PRINTED AREAS TO DECOMPOSE TO A GREATER DEGREE THAN THE BLOWING AGENT IN THE UNPRINTED AREAS.
