Abstract
Abstract A simplified procedure for the preparation of a bis(triorganophosphine)di(alkynyl) metal complex involves the reaction of a metal alkoxide, an alkyne compound, and a dihalide metal complex. For example, sodium methoxide, phenylacetylene and bis(triethylphosphine)dichloronickel can be admixed in a single step process to produce bis(triethylphosphine)di(phenylethynyl)nickel.
