Abstract
Abstract An automatic unloading valve for an air filter in the intake circuit of an internal combustion engine, which valve comprises a ball trapped within a vertical cylindrical exhaust duct between an annular valve seat and a retaining member. The ball is caused to frequently move away from the valve seat due to variations in air pressure and vibration of the engine, at which time dust accumulated within the filter can be discharged through the exhaust duct.
