Abstract
Abstract Polyalkenamers are produced by a ring-opening polymerization of cyclic olefins employing a catalyst containing a tungsten or molybdenum compound and conducting the polymerization in the presence of an ethylenically unsaturated halogenated hydrocarbon wherein one of the double bonded carbon atoms is substituted by chlorine, bromine or iodine or halogenated alkyl or aryl and at least one hydrogen atom.
