Abstract
Abstract An apparatus for applying a thermoplastic material in the form of deposits which are spaced from one another to a surface structure by means of a roller rolling upon the surface structure and provided at its outer surface with recesses formed in accordance with the configuration, size and distribution of the deposits. A doctor element cooperating with the roller forms therewith a gap, and there is also provided means for infeeding the thermoplastic material into the gap in the form of a foil which is in a plasticized condition.
