Abstract
Abstract An improved railroad tie member is formed of two wooden halfties which are secured together with one or more reverse threaded bolts arranged in parallel with the tracks. The bolts are preferably inserted in the tie halves whereby the bolts may be turned to resecure the two halves while the tie assembly is installed in the track.
