Abstract A METHOD OF MANUFACTURING A MAGNETIC TAPE LACQUER IN WHICH A POLYMER IS USED AS A DISPERSING AGENT FOR THE MAGNETIZABLE PARTICLES. WHEN USING NITROCELLULOSE, SUITABLE SOLVENTS ARE ACETIC ACID ESTERS OR PROPYL ALCOHOL, BUTYL ALCOHOL, ISOBUTYL ALCOHOL, AMYL ALCOHOL AND ISOAMYL ALCOHOL AND METHYL-ETHYL KETONE, METHYL-N-BUTYL KETONE, METHYL-ISOBUTYL KETONE, METHYL-N-AMYL KETONE AND METHYL-ISOALKYL KETONE AND MIXTURES THEREOF.
