Abstract

Abstract An improved mulch in sheet form which is adapted to hug the earth and consequently avoid interference with automated agricultural apparatus. The mulch is formed with an extensible kraft paper facing. The paper is selected to fade and become more reflective of the sun''s rays as the growing season progresses. The disclosed crepe-backed construction also contributes a multidirectional strength characteristic to the sheet and allows use of a relatively thin plast coating.
