Abstract AN IMPROVED RESISTANCE TO ACTINIC RADIATION AND WEATHERING IS IMPARTED TO PIGMENTED NYLON COMPOSITIONS BY INCORPORATING THEREIN FROM ABOUT 400-600 PARTS PER MILLION BY WEIGHT BASED ON THE NYLON OF COPPER IN DISSOLVED FORM AND FROM ABOUT 0.4 TO 2.2 PERCENT BY WEIGHT ON THE NYLON OF AN INORGANIC HALIDE, AND WHEREIN THE RATIO OF COPPER IN PARTS PER MILLION TO HALIDE IN WEIGHT PERCENT IS BETWEEN 325:1 AND 1150:1.
