Abstract
Abstract A preloaded anti-friction bearing assembly comprising coaxial relatively rotatable inner and outer races, a plurality of balls disposed in spaced relation between said inner and outer races, at least one of said races being radially segmented, said segments being axially displaced with respect to each other, at least one of said segments being preloaded by preloading means to thereby exert a preloading force against said balls, said preloading means including at least one substantially noncompressible, flowable, resilient ring.
