Claims Analysis

Total Claims: 5
Claim 1
Independent Claim 20 words
A process as claimed in claim 1 wherein crystallisation is effected at a temperature within the range 150* to 220*C.
Claim 2
Dependent Claim 42 words
A process as claimed in claim 1 wherein the layer of poly-1: 2-diphenoxyethane-4:4''-dicarboxylate is produced by melt extruding poly-1:2-diphenoxyethane-4:4-dicarboxylate from a slot die and quenching the extrudate to form said undrawn amorphous film or tape which is then heated to effect crystallisation.
Claim 3
Dependent Claim 15 words
A process as claimed in claim 1 wherein the drawing temperature is at least 80*C.
Claim 4
Dependent Claim 21 words
A process as claimed in claim 1 wherein the undrawn layer is drawn to at least 4 times its original length.
Claim 5
Dependent Claim 29 words
A process as claimed in claim 1 in which the poly-1:2-diphenoxyethane-4:4''-dicarboxylate has a relative viscosity, as measured on a 1 percent solution in o-chlorophenol of between 1.7 and 2.5.
