Abstract
Abstract Block copolymers are prepared by polymerizing an unsaturated monomer in the presence of a polymerization catalyst and a chain transfer agent which is a cumyl peroxide containing one or more alkyl or cycloalkyl substituents, which substituents have at least one benzylic hydrogen atom, at a temperature below that which the peroxide decomposes, and subsequently polymerizing the peroxy containing polymer so formed in the presence of additional monomer at a temperature above the decomposition point of the peroxide.
