Abstract
Abstract The invention is concerned with a temperature-responsive valve in which a valve part movable between open and closed positions controls the flow of a medium through the valve and in which such opening and closing movement of the valve part is effected by means of at least one plate-like bimetal snap-action element responsive to the temperature of the medium. The element is clamped at its periphery and as a whole is substantially uniformly domed or dished.

A temperature-responsive valve comprising a valve part movable between an open position to allow passage of a medium through the valve and a closed position to prevent passage of the medium through the valve, and a substantially dome or dish shaped plate-like bimetal snap-action element responsive to the temperature of the medium to effect said opening and closing movement of said movable valve part, said element being clamped at its periphery and being connected to a holder which carries a continuously acting bimetal element, said continuously acting bimetal element being connected to said movable valve part by way of a guide pin.
