An aid to boating comprising a pair of tubular members telescoping from a retracted position to an extended position, latch spring means to lock the members in one or the other position, plastic floatation material within the inside tubular member adjacent the latch means to render the member floatable to support the aid if dropped overboard, a double boat hook at one end of the aid and adjacent the plastic floatation material, and a foot for pushing on the other end of the aid.
