Abstract THE INCORPORATION OF POLYORGANOSILOXANES AND/OR HYDROCARBON EXTENDER OILS IN CERTAIN THERMOPLASTICS WHICH ARE COMPATIBLE WITH THE SILOXANE AND/OR HYDROCARBON OIL AT ELEVATED MELT TEMPERATURES AND WHICH HAVE ON OXYGEN PERMEABILITY CONSTANT OF AT LEAST ABOUT 0.5 X 10**10 CC. CM./ (CM2. SEC. CM HG) GREATLY IMPROVED THE PERMEABILITY OF MEMBRANES PREPARED FROM SAME TO GASES SUCH AS OXYGEN AND CARBON DIOXIDE. NOVEL PROCESSES FOR MAKING THE MEMBRANES ARE DISCLOSED.
