Abstract
Abstract A guard assembly comprises separable upper and lower covers detachably mounted on the frame of a track-type vehicle to form tunnel portions for shielding and protecting the drive motors and attendant conduits thereof. The lower cover comprises a centrally disposed member having its forward end hingedly mounted on the frame by a pair of hook members to facilitate removal and installation thereof. The rearward end of the member has towline attachment means formed thereon and a shear block arrangement is disposed between the member and the frame to transmit towing forces directly to the frame.
