Claims Analysis

Total Claims: 12
Claim 1
Independent Claim 215 words
A stranded motorists'' distress sign comprising: A. a flat double faced board member in which at least one face of said member bears a distress legend, and, B. a base member for holding said board member in generally upright orientation, which comprises: 1. a flat planar portion, 2. a pair of relatively spaced longitudinally extending, upright members projecting from the upper surface of said flat planar portion, and, 3. a slot, formed by said relatively spaced upright members, for retention of the lower edge of said board member, C. the improvement of a mounting means for detachably securing said distress signal to an automotive vehicle, which comprises, 1. an elongated groove near the bottom surface of said flat planar portion of said base member, a. in which said elongated groove opens in the bottom surface of said base member, 2. an elongated magnetized member fitted into said elongated groove for providing an elongated line of magnetic attraction to the metallic surface of an automotive vehicle, in which: a. said magnetized member comprises a flat planar portion and an upstanding flange, 1. said upstanding flange, projecting from said flat planar portion and fitting into said elongated groove, and, 2. said flat planar portion fitting in abutting relation with the flat planar surface of said base member.
