Abstract A STABILIZED, SUBSTANTIALLY NON-CORROSIVE POLYVINYLIDENE CHLORIDE LATEX IS PRODUCED BY ADDING STABILIZING QUANTITIES OF AN ALKALI METAL BISULFITE TO A POLYVINYLIDENE CHLORIDE LATEX CONTAINING RESIDULA PEROXIDES. THE STABILIZED CONPOSITION HAS PARTICULAR UTILITY AS A COATING FOR CELLULOSIC SUBSTRATES.
