Abstract
Abstract A display device wherein at least one article is firmly held in place on a sheet of a flexible material in an undersized aperture in the sheet by a loop of a transparent film extending through the aperture and affixed to the backside of the sheet, a process for the preparation of such a display device, and an automatic sequentially cycled apparatus for forming said display device.

As a new article of manufacture, a display device containing mounted thereon at least one item for display, said display device containing one aperture for each item mounted thereon, said aperture being shaped to conform substantially to the outline of said item but of slightly smaller size, said item being held in position in said sized aperture by a continuous loop of a transparent film extending around said item, said loop consisting of a portion of said continuous film extending through said aperture about said item, said loop of film being under tension by being mechanically tightened around said item to secure said item in said sized aperture and on the front of said display device, said loop of film being non-deformed due to the application of heat, said film being heat sealed to the back of said display device on either side of said aperture.
