Abstract A PROCESS FOR THE PRODUCTION OF A COPOLYMER COMPRISING OXYALKYNE AND CARBOXYALKYLENE UNITS. A LACTONE AND AN OXYALKYLENE AND CARBOXYALKYLENE UNITS. A LACTONE AND ENCEOF A CATALYST. THE LACTONE AD EPOXIDE ARE ADDED SIMULTANEOUSLY TO THE CHAIN INITIATOR AT SUCH RATES THAT EACH OF THE LACTONE AND THE EPOXIDE REACT WITH THE CHAIN INITIATOR OR GROWING CHAIN AT SUBSTANTIALLY CONSTANT RATE DURING THE TOTAL ADDITION.
