Abstract
Abstract The fuel assembly comprises at least one bundle of canned-fuel pins of substantial length which are disposed on a uniform lattice and enclosed within a sleeve through which the coolant flows in a general direction parallel to the fuel pins. The thickness of the sleeve in the downstream portion is smaller than in the upstream portion as considered in the direction of coolant flow.
