Claims Analysis

Total Claims: 6
Claim 1
Independent Claim 124 words
A container comprising a. a body portion having a bottom and an annular sidewall extending upwardly therefrom, said sidewall terminating at its upper end in an outwardly extending flange, said flange having an interrupted portion defining a notch, b. a lid for closing the upper end of said body portion, said lid, when closed, overlying said flange, c. a tab extending downwardly from said lid in alignment with said notch, said tab having a first portion receivable with said notch and a second portion extending laterally beyond said notch and engaging the lower face of said flange adjacent the notch when the lid is in a closed position, and d. hinge means connecting said lid to said body portion opposite said tab and notch.
Claim 2
Dependent Claim 124 words
Claim 3
Dependent Claim 142 words
A container comprising a. a body portion having a bottom and an annular sidewall extending upwardly therefrom, said sidewall terminating at its upper end in an outwardly extending flange, at least a portion of said sidewall adjacent said flange being planar, said flange having a notch in the portion extending outwardly from said planar sidewall portion, b. a lid for closing the upper end of said body portion, said lid, when closed overlying said flange, c. a tab extending downwardly from said lid in alignment with said notch, said tab having a first portion receivable within said notch and a second portion extending laterally beyond said notch and engaging the lower face of said flange adjacent the notch when the lid is in a closed position, and d. hinge means connecting said lid to said body portion opposite said tab and notch.
Claim 4
Claim 5
Dependent Claim 180 words
A container comprising a. a body portion having a bottom and a plurality of substantially flat sidewall elements extending upwardly therefrom, said sidewall elements being joined together and terminating at the upper end in a flange extending outwardly from the respective sidewall elements, said flange having an interrupted portion defining a notch positioned centrally of one of said sidewall elements, b. a lid for closing the upper end of said body portion, a rib extending downwardly from said lid, said rib sized to the snugly received within the top of said body portion when the lid is in a closed position, said lid having peripheral portions outwardly from said rib overlying said flange, c. a tab extending downwardly from said lid in alignment with said notch, said tab having a first portion receivable within said notch and a second portion extending laterally beyond said notch and engaging the lower face of said flange adjacent the notch when the lid is in a closed position, and d. hinge means connecting said lid to said body portion opposite said tab and notch.
