Abstract ZEOLITE BETA IS USED TO SEPARATE C8 ALKYL BENZENES. IN AN EXAMPLE FROM A BLEND OF 47.8% M-XYLENE, 22.0% PXYLENE, 19.4% ETHYLBENZENE AND 7.6% O-XYLENE A DESORBATE CONTAINING 98% P-XYLENE AND ETHYLBENZENE WAS OBTAINED IN A YIELD OF 3.1% SIEVE WT.
