Abstract PRODUCTION OF C2 AND C3 ALCOHOLS FROM CORRESPONDING OLEFINS IS EFFECTED BY LIQUID-PHASE HIGH-PRESSURE HYDRATION WITH RECOVERY OF THE REACTION PRODUCT BY INTRODUCING A SEPARATING AGENT IN ORDER TO FORM A WATER-RICH PHASE AND AN ORGANIC-RICH PHASE. THE WATER-RICH PHASE IS RECYLCED UNDER HIGH PRESSURE CONDITIONS.
