Abstract
Abstract The addition of minor amounts of an asphaltene and a zinc 0,0di-alkylphosphorodithioate minimizes viscosity increases of mineral lubricating oils containing hydrogenated butadienestyrene copolymer VI improvers when subjected to extreme operating conditions that ordinarily cause substantial viscosity increases. The compositions are not subject to substantial viscosity increases when heated to elevated temperatures for prolonged periods.
