Abstract
Abstract A laminated sheet material comprising (1) a porous, printable thermoplastic polymeric layer and (2) a heatactivated adhesive layer has particular utility in preparing call number labels for attachment to the spines of books. The physical properties of the two layers are interrelated, and the heat which activates the adhesive during application of the label also indelibly seals the indicia in the printable layer.
