Abstract
Abstract Improved precipitation processes for forming metal salt crystals are disclosed wherein crystals of metal salts are made by forming nuclei of the metal salt at a high temperature and the remainder of the crystal growth procedure is continued at a lower temperature. In one preferred embodiment, relatively large crystals having a narrow size distribution can be produced, especially when making photographic silver halide emulsions.
