Abstract

Abstract A control actuator in a first mode of displacement is shifted longitudinally along a predetermined axis to effect a first form of control to blend the sound for a stereo high fidelity sound system. In a second mode of displacement the actuator is rotated about the predetermined axis to effect a second form of control to vary the volume or loudness level of the stereo high fidelity sound system. In a third mode of displacement the actuator is either shifted to a position wherein it is inclined with respect to the predetermined axis, or as that its axis is shifted so as to be parallel with the predetermined axis, to effect a third form of control to arrange the stereo image or balance presented by the high fidelity sound system. The actuator is furthermore displaceable in a multiple mode including any two or even all three of the aforementioned modes to simultaneously effect the forms of control.
