Abstract
Abstract A position indicating apparatus for an elevator system is remotely located from a position sensing apparatus in a structure having n number of floors and a corresponding n number of position indicators which are electrically divided into a plurality of P number of groups. N number of conductors are employed for connecting the n number of position indicators to the position sensing apparatus as determined by the formula N A+P where A is equal to n divided by P with the quotient increased to the next whole number if fractionalized.
