Abstract

Abstract The present disclosure is directed to a process for the treatment of materials which comprises a heat-insulated treatment chamber, a plurality of sieve drum means subjected to a suction draft rotatably disposed within said treatment chamber, fan means for producing a suction draft and for circulating the treatment medium in said treatment chamber, heating means provided in the circulation zone of the treatment medium, tentering means containing tensioning chains at least partially disposed outside of the treatment chamber as inlet means, said tentering means cooperating with the sieve drum means for the effective conveyance of the material being treated to said sieve drum means, and outlet means for removing the material being treated from the treatment chamber.

Claims Analysis

Total Claims: 10
Claim 1
Independent Claim 129 words
A process for the treatment of fibrous material in a treatment chamber which comprises holding and guiding a continuous length of fibrous material at the inlet of a treatment chamber in a stretched condition by tensioning means, said treatment chamber containing at least one sieve means subjected to a suction draft; holding the fibrous material in a stretched condition on at least a portion of the first sieve means in said treatment chamber by said tensioning means; conveying said material through the treatment chamber on the conveying surface of the sieve means, said fibrous material being held to the conveying surface of said sieve means by said suction draft; and drawing a gaseous treatment medium around and through the fibrous material on said sieve means with said suction draft.
Claim 2
Dependent Claim 129 words
Claim 3
Dependent Claim 28 words
The process of claim 1, wherein the material being treated is heated up to its fixatioN temperature while being held in the stretched condition on the sieve means.
Claim 4
Dependent Claim 51 words
The process of claim 1, wherein said tensioning means includes tensioning chains having pins thereon, and the material being treated is lifted out of the pins of the tensioning chains by the suction draft of a subsequent sieve means as a result of the close proximity of said subsequent sieve means.
Claim 5
Dependent Claim 50 words
The process of claim 1, wherein said tensioning means includes tensioning chains having pins thereon, and the material after being treated in said treatment chamber is lifted out of the pins of the tensioning chains by the suction draft of a suction roller or by a disk fitted with pins.
Claim 6
Dependent Claim 21 words
The process of claim 1, wherein the material is alternately conveyed on the surfaces of more than one sieve drum means.
Claim 7
Dependent Claim 37 words
The process of claim 1, wherein the material being treated is removed from said tensioning means by the suction draft of a subsequent sieve means as a result of the close proximity of said subsequent sieve means.
Claim 8
Dependent Claim 39 words
The process of claim 1, wherein the treatment chamber contains a plurality of sieve means, and the material being treated is also held in a stretched condition by tensioning means on at least one of the subsequent sieve means.
Claim 9
Dependent Claim 42 words
The process of claim 7, wherein the material being treated is held in a stretched condition on the plurality of sieve means such that only one side of said material rests on the sieve means during the treatment in said treatment chamber.
Claim 10
Dependent Claim 28 words
The process of claim 8, wherein the fibrous material is in the form of pile goods and said pile goods are treated without damaging or pressing the pile.
