Abstract
Abstract A system for detecting article theft wherein different frequency signals are transmitted at the access paths and a receiver associated with the article is responsive to the transmitted signals to actuate a timing device. At the end of an interval, a tear gas cartridge or similar device is fired. The receiver is inhibited from operation by the receipt of a third frequency signal to prevent false triggering.
